Epiphytic orchid, pseudobulbs cylindrical, 7-10 cm high, 2 cm across. Leaves elliptic-oblong, 10-12 cm broad. Inflorescence 12-15 cm long. Flowers 1-1.5 cm across;pedicel hairy. Sepals and petals yellowish-brown, with dark red veints. Lip dark red tints at base.In dry evergreen forest and mixed deciduous forest in northern and northeastern regions; flowering period from February-March.
Distribution : India, China, SE.Asia and Indochina.
